Clotheshorse Yarn and Pattern Giveaway!

As we approach the release of the premiere issue we want to share a sneak peak of the pattern Sundown by Heather Dixon. Along with this taster we are offering our very first giveaway! The grand prize winner will receive the yarn and pattern required to knit Sundown, and another lucky winner will receive the pattern.

This cozy scarf is knit using Knit Picks Comfy Fingering yarn and Crystal Palace Panda Silk. The combination of fibers gives this scarf a beautiful drape and makes it extra snuggly. The crisp red and white checks remind us of pretty gingham dresses, picnics, and warmer weather as we approach Spring. The fringe at either end of the scarf is a lovely detail that completes this Spring-time look.

Do you want to knit this gorgeous scarf? Of course you do! Sundown received so many compliments when we attended TNNA last month. Admirers noticed it from across the room and wanted to inspect and fondle it! Follow the steps below to enter our first Clotheshorse giveaway for your chance to win the yarn and pattern to knit your very own Sundown! All you need to do is:

1)     Sign up to receive blog and newsletter updates from Clotheshorse, and

2)     Post a comment below telling us why you want to win and what you love about this scarf.

We look forward to reading all your comments and will select a winner on Sunday, February 12, 2012, 6pm EST.

I love anything plaid and this is pretty darn close!
The red and white match the color of my hometown team Nebraska Cornhuskers and this would be perfect to wear to a chilly football game!

This scarf is beautiful and can be playfully dressed up or down for almost any occasion. The visual texture is incredibly versatile, and I can see this becoming a staple of my wardrobe (as a gingham/plaid lover). I would love to win to gain this beautiful garment as my first serious foray into entrelac.
